In my series “Timeless Whispers: Exploring Childhood Through Art”, I use color, form, and texture to capture the universal emotions of childhood, evoking memories that quietly echo in our minds. As a mother, my daughter has been a constant source of inspiration for this series. Her growth, innocence, and curiosity about the world have deeply influenced my creative journey. The focus of these paintings is often on her full back view, a deliberate choice to remove facial expressions, allowing the viewer to connect with the figure on a universal level. The back symbolizes exploration and growth, conveying the beauty of childhood as a journey, rather than a destination.
Flowers, particularly lilies, are central symbols in my work. Lilies represent purity, hope, and serenity, qualities that mirror the quiet, peaceful nature of childhood. The lilies alongside my daughter’s back create a powerful narrative, representing the gentle beauty of youth and the quiet moments of discovery and exploration that define childhood. The softness of the flowers contrasts with the strength of the figure, creating a balance between innocence and the vibrant energy of life.
